1. Who we are
FA3i ("FA3i", "we", "us", or "our") is an independent think tank publishing intelligence at the intersection of artificial intelligence and global finance. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through our website and services. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, FA3i is the data controller for the personal data described here.
2. Data we collect
Information you give us
- Contact enquiries. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Member sign-in. If you sign in to the member area, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from your chosen single sign-on provider (e.g. Google).
- Deal submissions. If you submit a deal to The Impact IQ, we collect the information you provide about that deal and, optionally, your email address so we can follow up.
Information collected automatically
- Technical & usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To operate the member area and authenticate access.
- To review, score, and (where appropriate) publish deal submissions.
- To understand and improve how our publications and website are used.
- To maintain the security and integrity of our services.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases: consent (e.g. optional analytics, where applicable); legitimate interests (e.g. operating, securing, and improving our services and responding to enquiries); and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Service providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate our services. Each processes personal data only as needed to provide their service, under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Hosting & delivery — for serving the website and APIs.
- Form handling — to deliver contact-form submissions to us by email.
- Authentication — to provide secure single sign-on for the member area.
- Database — to store deal submissions and related records.
- Analytics — to produce aggregate usage statistics, where enabled.
6. Cookies
We use a limited number of cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage them.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Contact enquiries and deal submissions are retained for as long as needed to administer them and for our legitimate record-keeping, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses) as required by applicable law.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@fa3i.org.
10. Children
Our services are intended for professional and general adult audiences and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
